Stef Francis Threads & Packs

A range of hand dyed threads from United Kingdom in a unique range of colours. Experimental packs and silk bark, cocoons and carrier rods are a speciality.

• Texture Selection

  A multi-skein selection of 5 different textured threads all hand dyed together.

  Length: 5m of each thread, total 25m — $8.00

• 12-Strand Silk

  A 12-strand silk thread that can easily be split down to fewer strands if a finer thread is required.

• Viscose Ribbon

  A knitted rayon tube. It can be used flat as a ribbon or stuffed with another yarn and then gathered.

• 5400 Rayon

  A heavy lustrous floss rayon thread.

• Dyed Silk Carrier Rods — Theme Packs

  Silk carrier rods are waste produced during the silk reeling process. They contain natural gum which makes them quite rigid but they can be split down into thinner layers which are more pliable.
  Theme packs are made up of similar colour mixes to give more variety in your projects.
  Themes: springtime, autumn glow, earth, cool aqua, antique rose, hot sizzle, and helleborus.

• Dyed Silk Cocoons

  These cocoons have cut ends where the silk moth has been removed. Fantastic for embellishment with beads and stitching.
